Then once you have two to four heavies, then try the priority mission. Just keep on building up your salvage to build bigger and better mechs. As stated elsewhere, look for the "Spring the trap" (Assassination) mission also. These three usually have a larger/bigger mech. Therefore keep taking the other contracts to travel between the stars, accepting contracts that are assassination, battles or recovery. So just ignore the priority mission as there is no time limit on when the priority mission is required to be completed. ATM, you are saying you are getting recked on the priority mission, well in truth no point in taking it until you have a lance that can handle the mission.
